Pedestal writing desk, with open back, made in Denmark in the 1960s.

Desk top is teak veneer on plywood, with a solid teak edge. It sits on top of two identical pedestals, each with three drawers; the top drawer of each stack is lockable (key included). The drawers fronts are teak veneer on solid pine, with a balancing teak veneer, and solid teak tops. They have ramin (a hardwood similar to beech) sides, and birch veneered, plywood, bottoms. The drawers have machine dovetailed joints, and their sides are grooved to work with the runners; they have scalloped, integral, recessed, drawer pulls. Desk has an arched kneehole, and turned, tapering, solid teak legs. The back is finished, with three open compartments to the rear; the desk is intended and able to sit in the middle of the room.

Table top is marked with a cigarette burn (please see photos). It has been stripped and repolished in our workshop.
Whilst this piece is in great condition, it is vintage, and as such has patination commensurate with its age.
