Set of four dining chairs, designed by Ib Koford-Larsen for G Plan’s Danish Range. Made in England, 1960s.


The chairs each have a steam bent, moulded top rail, veneered in teak. They have solid teak, turned, tapering legs, strengthened by solid teak stretchers. The removable, squab, seat pads sit recessed in the side rails. The chairs are stamped on the underside of the seat, baring the mark of G Plan’s Ib Koford-Larsen designed Danish Modern Range.


Chairs are currently waiting to be revived in our restoration workshop.

Whilst these chairs are in great condition, they are vintage, and as such have patination commensurate with their age.

The Danish Modern Range (1962)

Released in 1962 and designed by Ib Kofod-Larsen, The Danish Modern range embodied the design movements values; clean lines, organic curves, the use of quality materials, and human led design that married form and function. It was a move upmarket for G Plan, was more expensive than their other ranges, and produced in teak, with rosewood features, as well as some pieces being made entirely of rosewood.
