A beautiful rosewood tallboy with eight drawers, made in Denmark, probably in the 1970s.

This striking piece has lots of lovely details that show quality and real care in its making. The body of the tallboy is veneered in rosewood, with its top and front bordered with a solid rosewood edge. The eight drawers are all equally sized; they have machine dovetailed joints, solid mahogany back and sides, and a birch ply bottom. The drawer fronts are rosewood veneer on a solid wood (not engineered), and have a mahogany balancing veneer. The drawer fronts are finished with a solid rosewood top and bottom lip, and solid rosewood, square, recessed, handles. The tall boy has a polished, finished back; the whole piece stands on an inset plinth.
