DELIVERY
The sofa bed is supplied without it's feet bolted on, the seat and back cushions are removable and the back itself lifts off to aid with delivery. We've delivered a large number of these with little difficulty fitting through most doorways and up most staircases. However, you should bear in mind that it's very long and quite heavy.
It's possible to unbolt the arms if you're really stuck, but it's not designed to remove them, so you either need to know what you're doing, or pay someone who does and it'll take at least 1-2 hours to remove them and bolt them on again. This is not something our delivery drivers can assist you with.
AN IMPORTANT NOTE ON LEAD TIMES
The manufacturer’s lead time on this item is shown above.
The lead time quoted is a guide to help you plan, it is the range of time it usually takes for your order to reach our warehouse. You then need to add 1 & 3 weeks for onward delivery via our delivery partners, which will depend on your location and route availability.
Lead-times vary depending upon a number of factors, including seasonal working patterns, availability of parts & fabric and the volume of orders. This in turn is likely to be affected by busy periods, such as sale times.
As the retailer, we have no control over manufacturer’s lead times, but rest assured that they do work to deliver your goods as quickly as possible, but never at the sake of quality. As such Lead times cannot be guaranteed and we will not be able to process your order with a specific delivery date in mind.

Cleaning.
Due to the variety of fibre and fabric constructions used, G Plan recommends you use a professional cleaning company for your sofa.
Alternatively you can seek advice from the store where you purchased your furniture.
Covers should never be machine washed or dry cleaned by a launderette as this can damage the fire retardant treatments, fade colours and affect the finish of the fabrics.
Where zips are fitted, this is often to assist manufacture and does not necessarily mean the cover is removable for cleaning.
Caring.
Plump up cushions regularly.
Lightly vacuum upholstery once a week to prevent dust build up.
Direct sunlight can cause fading, so try to protect upholstery from direct sunlight where possible.
Avoid sitting on the arms and try to prevent children from jumping on sofas as it can damage the sofa and cushions.
Avoid sitting on the sofa with heavily soiled or non-colour fast clothes and avoid leaving newspapers on the sofa as the ink can stain.
Care should be taken with sharp-edged objects, trim off any loose threads with sharp scissors.
Spillages.
In the event of a spillage, prompt action can reduce the likelihood of permanent staining.
Remove as much of the spillage as possible with a spoon or blunt palette knife.
Work towards the middle of the spillage to prevent spreading the stain.
Soak up liquids with a clean cloth, towel or kitchen paper without rubbing the stain.
Blot up as much of the spillage using a damp cloth (not wet) with warm clean water, again without rubbing.
