LUIS BAILEY is a Brazilian visual artist. He studied drawing and painting at the Paris Academy of Art (France, 2019). With a degree in industrial design from UniverCidade (Rio de Janeiro, 2010) in the same year, he received the Ford/New Design Talents National Award. Born in Rio de Janeiro, he lives and works in Rio de Janeiro.

Brain Rot

The small-format series "Brain Rot" (2024–2025) offers through painting, portraits of a cold and inhospitable atmosphere - in which the behaviours of human figuration range from fascination to cognitive fatigue, both radiating states of alienation and the confinement of digital images. The series seeks to provoke reflection on the mental and emotional toll of our screen-saturated world.
