Why After Noah?

Why is your shop called After Noah?

It's our dateline.

We stock anything we like or feel strongly about, so we say that we sell anything after Noah - no special period, just things that fit with life.

Opening Hours

When are you open?

We're open 7 days a week. Monday to Saturday 10-6 and Sundays 11-5. Public holidays 11-5. During December, we stay open one hour extra each day, so close at 7pm everyday except Sundays when we close at 6pm.

Returns - Exchanges - Refunds

What's your returns policy?

With the exception of made-to-order, seasonal and discounted goods, you can return anything you've purchased from us for a full refund.


Simply return them within 14 days, with proof of purchase and in saleable condition.


For Web orders, you must inform us in writing - [email protected] - within 14 days of receipt of your goods to get a Returns Authorisation Number (RAN this is so we know to expect your parcel) and then get them back to us within 14 days. We'll refund the price of the items you've returned, but not the delivery charges or the cost you incur in returning it to us.

What happens if my goods are received faulty or damaged?

We'll either replace them free of charge and pay for your postage, or we'll refund you in full once we've received the goods back from you. Please email first at [email protected] to let us know you need to return something.

Free delivery offer?

Free Delivery Offer - Free delivery is available for all orders over £350.

Order below £350 are chargeable and the pricing will be clearly displayed before payment.

There are upgradable options available, for added convenience or a faster service.

Free Delivery Offer - There is obviously no such thing as a free delivery, the free delivery offer from After Noah just means that we pick up the bill.

Do you deliver outside of the UK?

Yes. We ship maby goods worldwide.


Countries that we commonly ship to should automatically display a price at the basket before you've paid.


For any countries not shown, drop us an email to [email protected] or click the online chat icon at the bottom.


We offer delivery services to all of Europe.

Orders for items that can be safely posted in a parcel weighing les than 3.5 kilos, can be delivered throughout Europe using the Small Parcel service, delivery time is between 5-14 days.


Simply run your goods through and the current pricing will be shown at checkout.


There will be no tax or import duties to pay as we pay that all before sending.

The Rest of The World.


Orders for items that can be safely posted in a parcel weighing les than 3.5 kilos, can be delivered around the World, using the International Small Parcel service.

Delivery time is between 14-28 days.

Simply run your goods through and the current pricing will be shown at checkout.

You may have to pay tax import duties, so we suggest that you check with your local territory Government for advice.

What if my Special Order sofa won't fit into my house?


It rarely happens, but sometimes, the best laid plans, etc…


We obviously always recommend that you bring out the tape measure before you place your order, or pay for a Pre-Delivery Site Inspection. An access check will determine whether or not a chosen product can be successfully delivered to the room of choice and by which method.

As well as measuring the space in your room, for a successful delivery you also need to think about access routes. Will it fit through all the doorways, hallways and, if required, even up staircases in order to make it suitable for your home. This will help ensure a smooth delivery and reduce the risk of damage to the furniture or your belongings.

In short, when you place your order, we can only work on the assumption that you've taken adequate steps to ensure it will fit.

If the worst happens, we will always make our best endeavours to offer help, advice and alternatives whenever possible. It's likely that these may involve additional costs and we cannot perform miracles, we’ll explain more below.


However please do remember that the final responsibility rests with you and in the worst case scenario, you might end up with a sofa you cannot use.


Free Delivery - There is obviously no such thing as a free delivery, the free delivery offer from After Noah just means that we pick up the bill, in order to remain competitive in the marketplace. Actual delivery costs range between £100 -£250 depending on the size of goods ordered, delivery location and the level of service required. So where a second delivery is required a charge will be due.


Return to warehouse? - So that you have time to figure out what to do next, we are often able to take your sofa back to the warehouse and in most instances Return transport is Free of charge. But please note we cannot gaurantee this for remoter locations and that warehouse storage charges will likely commence, see below.


Warehouse Storage Space is always at a premium, so extra time comes at a cost.

After the time allowed, items such as sofas, dining tables or sets of chairs, will incur a charge, calculated weekly at the current rate per piece, per week or part thereof.

Special Deliveries - We can sometimes put customers in touch with specialist companies who can deliver through windows, balconies, or who will visit your home to remove an arm and re-attach it once it’s safely inside. Pricing varies from job-to-job, but starts @ £120 plus Delivery plus Storage.


Failing all of the above, as we obviously cannot be responsible for your furniture fitting in your home, we can leave your furniture in a safe place like a hallway or garage, or store it for a fee as above, whilst you investigate your own arrangements.


But do please remember that in the end the final responsibility rests with you and in the worst case scenario, you might end up with a sofa you cannot use.

Can you deliver my furniture over the garden wall?

Special Deliveries - We can sometimes put customers in touch with specialist companies who can deliver through windows, balconies, or who will visit your home to remove an arm and re-attach it once it’s safely inside. Pricing varies from job-to-job, but starts @ £150 plus Delivery plus Storage.

CAN YOU GUARANTEE MY DELIVERY DATE, COS THE KING'S COMING TO TEA?

Manufacturing lead times vary due to numerous factors, including but not exclusively seasonal working patterns, availability of parts & fabric and the volume of orders.

This in turn is also affected by busy periods, such as sale times.

As the retailer, we have no control over manufacturer’s lead times. All of our manufacturers work as fast as possible to get you your new goods made, but never at the expense of quality.

As such the delivery date cannot be guaranteed and we will not be able to process your order with a specific delivery date in mind.
The lead time quoted is a guide to help you plan, and is the current build time from the factory into our warehouse plus the onward delivery time to your delivery address.

Depending on your location and route planning, you will be looking at between 1-3 weeks for onward delivery to you from our warehouse.

Storage

Can you store my purchase for me?

We allow 2 weeks storage free-of-charge, 3 weeks for Special made to order Upholstery in our warehouse.


However as Warehouse Storage Space is always at a premium, extra time comes at a cost.


After the time allowed, items such as sofas, dining tables or sets of chairs, will incur a charge, calculated weekly at the current rate per piece, per week or part thereof.

How do I pay?

American Express, Visa, MasterCard or Debit cards please. You can also use your PayPal account or on larger purchases we can also offer finance - Full details click here.

Do you offer interest-free credit?

Yes, for purchases of anything over £750 you can apply for 0% finance over 6 months with a 10% deposit. We also offer longer payment terms, but these are interest-bearing. Full details click here or the link at the bottom of the page.

Products

Is everything you sell in your shop, on your website too?

Errr, yes. In theory. But sometimes we can't keep up. We buy new things almost daily and this site is changed daily, so it's always worth checking back regularly to see what's new. If it's not on the website, but you've seen it in the shop - let us know and we'll add it immediately so that you can buy it!

where do you source your products?

Everywhere. All the vintage items are bought from a huge range and network of sources built-up over decades, from both traders, trade fairs, auctions and private sellers worldwide. The new stuff comes from an equally diverse range of sources. Our made-to-order furniture is mostly manufactured here in the UK. Many of our toys and gifts are from the EU, but a large proportion are from India and China and are, as far as possible, ethically sourced. We think we deal only with companies that have a good moral compass. Lots of people are bothered by goods originating from these two countries in particular, but like everything in the world, there are good and bad sources and practices - and while there are people in the world for whom price alone is the driving factor in their decision-making process, it will remain that way.

Do you buy pieces from members of the public?

Of course. If you've got something that you think we might like, drop us a line via email with a few photos and how much you hope to sell/it them for and we'll let you know if it's for us within 48 hours. [email protected]

What's your Complaints procedure?

We hope that you're pleased with any purchase you've made or service you've received from us.
