When are you open?

We're open 7 days a week. Monday to Saturday 10-6 and Sundays 11-5. Public holidays 11-5.

Returns - Exchanges - Refunds

What's your returns policy?

With the exception of made-to-order, seasonal and discounted goods, you can return anything you've purchased from us for a full refund. The rules are that you must inform us in writing (email's fine: [email protected]) within 14 days of receipt of your goods and get them back to us within 30 days of receipt of your goods. We'll refund the price of the items you've returned, but not the delivery charge to you or the cost you incur in returning it to us. What happens if my goods are received faulty or damaged?

We'll either replace them free of charge and pay for your postage, or we'll refund you in full once we've received the goods back from you. Please email first at [email protected] to let us know you need to return something.

Yes, delivery is free. And sometimes it's not…

Delivery is free when you spend £250 or more.

Below that parcels cost from £6.99 and furniture costs £25.

There are upgradable options, too for added convenience or faster service.

Do you deliver outside of the UK?

Yes. We ship goods worldwide. Countries that we commonly ship to should automatically display a price at the basket before you've paid. For any countries not shown, drop us an email to [email protected] or click the chat icon to the left.

What if my Special Order sofa won't fit into my house?

It rarely happens, but sometimes, the best laid plans, etc…

We obviously always recommend that you bring out the tape measure before you place your order.

As well as measuring the space in your room, for a successful delivery you also need to think about access routes. Will it fit through all the doorways, hallways and, if required, even up staircases in order to make it suitable for your home. This will help ensure a smooth delivery and reduce the risk of damage to the furniture or your belongings.

However, if the worst happens, will always make our best endeavours to offer help, advice and alternatives whenever possible. It's likely that these may involve additional costs and we cannot perform miracles.

In short, when you place your order, we have worked on the assumption that you've taken adequate steps to ensure it will fit, as we obviously do not have any way of knowing how big your home is, or what difficulties may prevent delivery. So please remember that in the end it's the final responsibility rests with you and in the worst case scenario, you might end up with a sofa you cannot use.

Can you deliver my furniture over the garden wall?

In some instances, it may be possible to provide special delivery services at additional costs.

This could be an external delivery via a hoist, or removing a window for example.

Can you store my purchase for me?

We will store your purchase for up to 2 weeks free-of-charge. After this time, for items such as sofas, dining tables or sets of chairs, you will incur a cost, due to warehouse storage constraints. Excess storage is calculated as a weekly charge @ £15 per piece, per week.

We cannot store goods, other than parcel-sized purchases, in our central London store.

How do I pay?

Visa or Mastercard please. You can also use any card you have registered to your PayPal account.

Do you offer interest-free credit?

Yes, for purchases of anything over £750 you can apply for 0% finance over 6 months with a 10% deposit. We also offer longer payment terms, but these are interest-bearing. Full details click here or the link at the bottom of the page.


Is everything you sell in your shop, on your website too?

Errr, yes. In theory. But sometimes we can't keep up. We buy new things almost daily and this site is changed daily, so it's always worth checking back regularly to see what's new. If it's not on the website, but you've seen it in the shop - let us know and we'll add it immediately so that you can buy it!

where do you source your products?

Everywhere. All the vintage items are bought from a huge range and network of sources built-up over decades, from both traders, trade fairs, auctions and private sellers worldwide. The new stuff comes from an equally diverse range of sources. Our made-to-order furniture is mostly manufactured here in the UK. Many of our toys and gifts are from the EU, but a large proportion are from India and China and are, as far as possible, ethically sourced. We think we deal only with companies that have a good moral compass. Lots of people are bothered by goods originating from these two countries in particular, but like everything in the world, there are good and bad sources and practices - and while there are people in the world for whom price alone is the driving factor in their decision-making process, it will remain that way.

Do you buy pieces from members of the public?

Of course. If you've got something that you think we might like, drop us a line via email with a few photos and how much you hope to sell/it them for and we'll let you know if it's for us within 48 hours. [email protected]
