The London Living Wage, as distinct from what the government refers to as the 'National Living Wage,' is independently calculated by the Living Wage Foundation. It's based on what employees and their families need to get by.
Whilst the London Living Wage isn't a fortune, it's certainly a step in the right direction and stands at almost 30% more than the minimum that the government has decided employers should pay by law.
