I am a multi-disciplinary artist (painting, drawing, photography, performance) with painting at the chore of my practice. Themes I explore are to do with family, motherhood, memory, psychological states and psychologies of the self and other. For one of my projects I wore a school uniform for an entire year to explore Englishness, researching projected identity. An ongoing thread in my work is about the face and how we hide and reveal through the face. Current work touches on mental health; on reactivity, and acceptance.
My art projects have taken me on residencies in Indonesia, Japan, Syria and Majorca, amongst other places. My work has been exhibited internationally in New York, London and Amsterdam and is held in high profile collections such as Alison Jacques Gallery, Caldic Collection and Torch Gallery in the Netherlands.
I am also a portrait painter and take on portrait commissions.
