The SANE Creative Awards Scheme | 24th July - 2nd August

– 24th July - 2nd August

The SANE Creative Awards Scheme helps people living with mental ill health develop their art skills and move closer towards their goals and potential. So far, it has helped hundreds of artists from across the UK buy new materials, sign up for courses, and mount exhibitions. More than this, the scheme offers award-winners validation as artists and encouragement to follow their creative dreams.

The SANE Creative Awards Scheme

The charity SANE is proud to present a selection of work created by award winning artists at Gallery 121, as part of the Islington Festival of Music and Art, which runs from July 24th until August 2nd.

Continuing the Art of Possibility series, the exhibition showcases art made by beneficiaries of a national grants programme that has supported artists for over thirty years.

Time and again, the talent, passion and dedication of these artists has shone through, and served as a reminder of the powerful impulse to create, even in the face of great adversity.

Please join us to celebrate their art, explore the connection between creativity and mental health and learn more about the work of the SANE Creative Awards Scheme. SANE gratefully acknowledges After Noah and the Islington Festival of Music and Art for their support of this exhibition.
