Swyft - The Sofa in a Box

Swyft Sofas

Adam Bailey – 19th September 2020

They're not exaggerating! Swyft's own website directed me to this cool store. I looked at it, sat in it and ordered it. 2 days later, I was watching TV from it. I reckon it was less than 5 minutes to assemble - no tools needed. Comfy, great service and super nice staff at After Noah.

The Sofa in a Box

The two questions we're always asked when someone is considering buying a sofa:

1) Will it fit through my front door?

2) How long is delivery?

Well, Swyft is what happens when you put a team of designers & craftsmen in a room on a Friday afternoon and ask them those questions.

This is a sofa range that comes in a box (or three). It's not what you'd expect from a piece of self-assembly furniture and you'd be forgiven for thinking that a sofa that comes in a box wouldn't be as comfortable - but you'd be wrong. It's a comfy as it is easy to put together!

Made from hardwood, properly, by craftsmen who know how to make sofa frames in their own factory in Portugal, they've designed a product that's guaranteed to fit in your house and arrives within a few days, as Swyft keep a huge supply in 8 different colours, in stock.

Fabric Care & Assembly of your Swyft Sofa in a Box

Swyft fabrics are durable and resilient, which is why they guarantee it for 2 years. It features industry leading stain free technology, which makes it kid and pet friendly. Rather than coating our linen and velvet fabrics with a stain repellent, each one of the threads in our fabric is stain resistant.

We can't stop your friend from spilling wine on your sofa or your kids from smearing chocolate on the seats, but clean-up is as easy as wiping the stain with a wet cloth. FibreGuard fabrics are low maintenance and easy to clean. From ballpoint pen, to coffee, mud, red wine, and ketchup, common household stains are easily removed allowing you to keep your furniture fabrics looking fresh year after year. Stains can be removed from FibreGuard fabrics on our Swyft sofa using mostly water, stubborn stains may require a small amount of household soap.

Here are four steps to cleaning sofas, and two of those are ‘water’ (if this fails, refer to FibreGuard demonstration videos for complete instructions on how to best remove your stain):

• 01. Don’t Panic
For stains like mud, ketchup, lipstick or silly putty on your Swyft sofa, you’ll need to get a teaspoon. First, remove any stain residue with the edge of the teaspoon or a flat utensil. For other stains like pen or coffee, you won’t need to do this. Just dampen the fabric and blot.

• 02. Water & blot
Apply water to the stain and blot your Swyft sofa in a box, using a white paper towel. Do not do the circular motion rub trick because it’ll just rip your paper towel & drive the fibres from it into your fabric. Repeat the process until you can’t see the stain on the paper towel anymore.

• 03. Water & circles
Apply more water to the area and gently rub with a microfibre cloth. Use soap for stubborn stains. Any white bar of soap will do, whatever you have in the house. Now you can do the circular motion rub trick with a cloth or towel. Repeat the process until the stain is completely removed to make your Swyft sofa in a box, as good as new.

• 04. Air dry
This is really important. Don’t use a hairdryer or apply heat to the stain in any way. Just air dry - your Swyft sofa really won't like that!
