Description
Nest of three teak side tables, from G Plan’s Quadrille range, designed by R Bennett and launched in 1965. Made by E Gomme in High Wycombe, England.
This nest of tables feature the Quadrille range’s paradigmatic, sculptural, square frame legs. The table tops are teak veneer on engineered board, and nestle into the solid teak legs that are formed from a miter jointed solid frame. The legs have solid teak stretchers on one side, to support the frame and table.
This instantly recognisable design from G Plan would sit well within a range of interiors including, early to mid-twentieth century, Danish modern and contemporary design schemes.

Details
The Quadrille Range from G Plan was designed by R. Bennett and launched in 1965. It focused on smaller pieces of bedroom and living room furniture, used teak, and featured sculptural, square framed, legs. In many ways the Quadrille Range was a precursor to G Plan’s most popular range, G Plan Fresco, which was launched a year later in 1966.

Tables have been restored. Whilst these tables are in great condition, they are vintage, and as such have patination commensurate with their age.
