I don't usually have the patience to leave reviews, but this company was so accommodating, I just had to. On visiting their shop in London last weekend, I was tempted by a mid-century Danish desk, but assumed the delivery charge would outweigh its value, as I live in Inverness. Unfounded! After Noah not only delivered it free of charge, but I had it by the end of the week!
We sell a vast range of goods that vary greatly - from greetings cards and marbles, to beds and sofas and everything in between, so clearly every type of delivery that we can offer to anywhere in the world is hugely variable. With that in mind, our delivery pricing is as simple as we can make it and we always try to make your delivery as quick and painless as possible.
Whatever you've purchased, as far as the British mainland is concerned, broadly we offer 2 delivery services - Standard and Upgraded and both differ depending on what you've bought and where you need it delivered to.
If we can pop it in the post - and by post, we mean anything from Royal Mail to a parcel courier then, if you choose:
Postal Delivery - Within 7 Working Days, Monday to Friday,
Upgraded for Next Day.
Next Day Delivery - Orders before midday usually dispatched same day for overnight next WORKING day, Monday-Friday.
Missed midday? Give us a ring and we'll always try and catch the post.
If it's a larger item and requires a van, choose:
Furniture that we have in-stock - 1-3 weeks - depending entirely on when our vans are next in your area and we've consolidated enough deliveries, to make doing so sensible.
Furniture Made to Order - allow the manufacturing time it takes to reach our warehouse, plus 14 days (21 for Scotland) delivery.
Standard Delivery is a One or Two person delivery team, depending on how manageable the item is, whether you're happy helping at your end and how quickly you hope to have it.
Standard Delivery is to the first safe place within your home, with no unpacking or assembly.
Choose from a number of Upgraded Services - postcode dependent
Furniture in Stock - A.S.A.P jumping the Standard delivery queue and on occasion, might even be the same day or other nominated day.
Furniture Made to Order - allow the manufacturing time it takes to reach our warehouse, plus 7-14 days (21 for Scotland) delivery.
One or Two person delivery team, depending on availability and suitability.
Delivery to the chosen room within your home (where possible and reasonable access available).
Your item/s unpacked, inspected and assembled (where appropriate).
All packaging removed and recycled.
Choose London Same Day
Only applies to items that are in-stock - and does what it says, to most London postcodes, as quick as the Same Day or another Nominated Day to suit you. Saturdays too.
Driver may need assistance on arrival. This is unlikely to include delivery to any room in your premises and usually doesn't include unpacking or assembly - instead you're paying for the convenience of a speedier service.
Can you take my old sofa away?
Yes, in some cases we can collect your old furniture for recycling, the cost of this is:
£55 per sofa/table/sideboard, etc.
£45 per armchair or small item of furniture.
Lowering environmental impact - Our delivery teams are often partnered with a number of charities who will try to give your old furniture a new lease of life with local families in need of some support.
If not reusable, furniture will be disassembled and recycled with the lowest environmental impact.
Can you store my purchase for me until I’m ready?
Yes, we allow 2 weeks storage free-of-charge, 3 weeks for Special made to order Upholstery. After this time, items such as sofas, dining tables or sets of chairs, will incur a charge, due to warehouse storage constraints.
Excess storage is calculated as a weekly charge @ £15 per piece, per week or part thereof. e.g. A sofa and two chairs = £45 per week. We do not profit from this service.
We cannot store goods, other than parcel-sized purchases, in our central London store.
I live in the Outer Hebrides can you deliver to me?
We can always quote for your delivery to U.K. Islands, Scotland North of Glasgow and Edinburgh, N. Ireland and Eire.
Do you deliver internationally?
Yes, please contact us before making your purchase and we'll get you a delivery quote.
Can I choose a specific date for made-to-order or other large items
In general, the answer is no. Sorry. We can usually offer you an alternative date, but some locations are relatively remote and these areas are not ones where we can offer you the ability to choose a specific date from a large number or options, for obvious reasons. It is unfortunately not practicable to send 2 delivery personnel out in a large truck for the day for only one delivery. Our delivery partners are generally super friendly, sweet and accommodating - which is why we use them - and don't plan routes to make life difficult for you; it’s simply a matter of logistics and practicality.
Deliveries to highly populated and common areas are planned weekly and to more remote areas, planned approximately every 2 weeks, in order that they can consolidate a number of deliveries on a workable route to allow them to operate effectively. If you miss a date offered, you're likely to be offered a date the following week or week after, depending upon your location.
Can I have my order faster than the services offered above?
Most things are possible, for a price. We cannot speed-up made to order goods, but if an item is in stock we may be able to find a third-party carrier who is prepared to deliver to you more speedily than the services offered above. However, this would be considered a bespoke service, is likely to be significantly more expensive than our Upgraded services detailed above and the cost of which would be in addition to any of our advertised prices. There would be no discount to you if you wanted to arrange your own delivery or collection.
What If my Special Order Sofa Won't Fit In My House?
In short, when you place your order, we can only work on the assumption that you've taken adequate steps to ensure it will fit.
If the worst happens, we will always make our best endeavours to offer help, advice and alternatives whenever possible. It's likely that these may involve additional costs and sadly, we cannot perform miracles, but we explain more in the FAQs section at the link at the bottom of this page.
However please do remember that the final responsibility rests with you and in the worst case scenario, you might end up with a sofa or other piece of furniture you cannot use. Furniture that doesn't fit is likely to incur a return-to-base cost, plus storage charges and should you require it to be delivered to an alternate address, the full cost of delivery, as billed to us, would be payable by you. In short, you only get one bite at the Free or Upgraded delivery option, which is heavily subsidised by us.

* London Same Day - 1 Person delivery to Central London on the Same or Nominated Day. Sometimes Saturdays too. *Orders before 3pm. Collections 10am - 5pm. Driver may need assistance on arrival. The transit time is dependant on traffic.
* Standard Deliveries - Are to your door only and depend on your location & courier schedule. You may need to assist the driver with larger items.
* Stock Items - Means goods in stock at the point of order or which we receive regular deliveries of.
* Free Delivery Offer - There is obviously no such thing as a free delivery, the free delivery offer from After Noah just means that we pick up the bill, to remain competitive in the marketplace. So where a second delivery is required, perhaps because you missed the delivery or it didn't fit, a delivery charge will be due and depending on what's being delivered, the charges can be quite high. It's easy to be wise after the event, so we hope we can help with our easy Returns Policy.
In general, if you've purchased something from our website, simply tell us by email, within 14 days of receipt of the goods, that you've changed your mind. This is designed to offer you additional reassurance for items that you've not seen in the flesh and weren't quite as you imagined when you placed your order.
Once you've told us, we'll send you a returns authorisation number (RAN) and you then have a further 14 days to get them back to us.
When we've got them back, we'll refund you in full for the goods.
The only bit you don't get back is the outward delivery cost and any cost you incur in returning the goods to us. However, we will refund your postage or delivery costs if your delivery arrived damaged, broken or otherwise not working.
There are some situations where this returns policy doesn't apply. e.g. Special Orders, ex-display items, seasonal goods or goods purchased in our shop in person by you or a friend, relative or colleague or goods which were damaged and we discounted for you to take account of the damage you were aware of.
