A lovely compact sewing table, perfect for organising your sewing tools and thread. Made in Denmark in the 1960s.

The front, side, and back of the main body is solid teak, with an inset table top that is teak veneered on engineered board. The table’s body is suspended between the solid teak legs, giving the whole piece a really stylish silhouette. The legs are shaped, with mitred joints, and are supported on each side by stretchers; the stretchers that connect the legs on the longest side are shaped. The legs feature original, domed, brass, slotted screws (implying that the table could be dismantled if desired). The top drawer has a solid teak drawer front, satinwood (probably maple or sycamore) drawer liners and back, and a birch plywood bottom. It has machine dovetailed joints, an inset brass lock, and steel key. The removable, compartmentalised, tray is also made from satinwood, and includes a pin cushion. The lower drawer is a woven cane basket - perfect for storing bobbins!

Sewing table has been stripped and repolished in our workshop.

Whilst this piece is in great condition, it is vintage, and as such has patination commensurate with its age.
