Mid-century, twin pedestal, teak, writing desk. Made in the Netherlands.


The desk top and body is teak veneer on engineered board, with a moulded, chamfered, solid teak, edge around the top of the desk. It has two pedestals, each containing three drawers; both top drawers are lockable. Another, centred, drawer sits on top of the knee hole. The drawers have machine dovetail joints, pine sides and back, and a ply bottom. They have teak veneer fronts, and recessed, moulded, solid teak, handles. The desk has an open, shelf back, that forms a modesty board, and so can stand in the middle of the room. The whole piece is raised on solid teak, moulded, tapering legs, with stretchers strengthening each end.
