Stunning oval, rosewood, extending dining table, made in Denmark, almost certainly 1970s.

The table top is rosewood veneer on engineered board, with a contrasting veneered banding around its outside. The quadripartite, pedestal base, splits to extend the table, and is veneered in dark stained rosewood. The table extends with one leaf (not stored in the table) through the use of metal runners; brass locating dowels join the leaves when in use, and the top when the table is fully closed. The table comfortably holds 6 chairs when closed and expands to accommodate 8 people; the pedestal base design means that no guest has to contend with sitting across the legs of the table!

The top of the table has a nice patina, slightly bleached through exposure to daylight.

The table has no makers mark, but it was probably manufactured by either Dyrlund or Skovby.

Whilst this piece is in great condition, it is vintage, and as such has patination commensurate with its age.

Please note that due to the piece's age, the leaf may be a slightly different colour to the rest of the table.
