Aluminium water carrier from India, most probably mid-twentieth century.

These utilitarian vessels are traditionally used for storing and transporting water, and were commonly used across India and parts of Southeast Asia throughout the twentieth century. most probably hand-forged or cast, the carrier’s fared neck and broad base now make a striking decorative piece, perfect for displaying floral decorations.

These water carriers are beautifully weathered by time and use and wear their age with real character; they work well within rustic, cottage, industrial and bohemian interiors.
